- Athlete logs feeling (1-10), mood, soreness delta, and targeted body parts
- Soreness heatmap built from the body parts each session worked
- Apple Health and Health Connect sync, or log by hand
- Three recovery automation triggers plus a prescribe-recovery action
Recovery is part of the plan
Most platforms stop at training and nutrition and leave recovery to a note in the chat. Colossus makes it a first-class object. Coaches prescribe recovery sessions from nineteen modalities, from stretching, mobility, and foam rolling to sauna, cold plunge, ice bath, contrast shower, compression, meditation, breathwork, recovery yoga, PNF stretching, myofascial release, red-light therapy, and float tank. Each prescription can attach to a workout day ("after leg day"), carry a target duration and a video, become a reusable template, or run on a recurrence.
What the athlete logs
Athletes record duration, a post-session feeling score from one to ten, a mood, a soreness delta against how they felt before, and the body parts they worked. Those body parts feed a soreness heatmap, so coach and athlete can see at a glance where the load is accumulating and where the recovery is actually landing. Sessions sync automatically from Apple Health or Health Connect, or get logged by hand.
Wired into automations
Recovery completed, recovery missed, and a low post-recovery feeling are all automation triggers, and prescribe-recovery is an action. So "missed two recovery sessions this week, send a check-in message" or "after a hard leg day, prescribe a mobility session tomorrow" are both one rule. A recursion guard keeps a prescribe-on-completion rule from looping. Recovery also has its own badge category, an opt-in daily digest, and recovery routines can even be sold inside content bundles.
