A real food database
2.5 million items across South African, US, EU, and UK supermarket ranges, with a generic-foods spine for whole foods. Barcode scanning works offline-first, and any misses fall back to a text search with trigram relevance.
Meal plans and recipes
Coaches author meal plans by day or by template, and recipes expand into per-ingredient macros at log time. Day-anchored plans cycle from a start date (Day 1, 2, 3, and so on). Freeform plans let the athlete pick what to log when.
Macros that change with the day, not just the week
Most coaches don't prescribe the same calories on a heavy training day and a rest day. Colossus lets you set training-day, rest-day, and optional weekend-refeed targets on the same client goal. The athlete's daily target swaps automatically based on whether the session is scheduled, logged, or pinned for that date, and stacks on top of any menstrual-phase adjustment from cycle tracking. The athlete taps a chip to see exactly why today's target landed where it did. Base, day-type swap, phase adjustment, total: every step visible.
A built-in recipe library, no extra cost
Hundreds of public-domain recipes from the USDA MyPlate Kitchen are imported into Colossus and ready to use from day one, with ingredient quantities already resolved to our food database and macros computed per serving. Coaches can fork any platform recipe into an editable personal copy with one tap, then tweak quantities or instructions for their own clients. Attribution stays visible on every platform recipe so credit is preserved.
Supplements as their own surface
Pre-workout, peri-workout, post-workout, and daily stacks each have their own schedule and their own reminders. They aren't buried inside another food row.
A compliance score you'd actually look at
The weekly compliance score is a single number that coach and athlete can look at together. Calories, fibre, and ten micronutrients are tracked, but the platform doesn't flash red when an athlete goes over.
