Community Guidelines

Last updated: 9 August 2026

Colossus is a training platform. Coaches and the people they coach share workouts, progress, personal records, photographs and questions here, often about their bodies and their health. That only works if everyone can post without being harassed for it. These guidelines apply everywhere people can write something another person will read: community feeds and comments, group chats, direct messages, check-in notes, and reviews.

ZERO TOLERANCE

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. Content that breaks the rules below is removed, and accounts that post it lose access, permanently where the behaviour warrants it. There is no warning quota to work through first.

1. What is not allowed

  • Hate speech and slurs. Attacks or dehumanising language based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious illness. In South Africa some of this language is unlawful, not merely unwelcome.
  • Harassment and bullying. Targeting a person with insults, threats, unwanted sexual attention, or repeated contact after being asked to stop. This includes coordinated pile-ons.
  • Threats and violence. Threatening to harm anyone, or encouraging others to.
  • Sexual content. Pornography, sexually explicit material, and sexual commentary about another member's body or progress photographs.
  • Content involving minors. Colossus is for people aged 16 and over. Any sexualised content involving a minor is reported to the authorities.
  • Someone else's private information. Contact details, addresses, medical information or photographs of a person who did not agree to them being shared.
  • Dangerous health advice. Promoting disordered eating, purging, extreme caloric restriction, or the use of prohibited substances. Coaching people towards harm is not coaching.
  • Impersonation. Presenting yourself as another coach, another member, or as Colossus.
  • Spam and scams. Unsolicited promotion, pyramid schemes, fake reviews, and links intended to defraud.
  • Illegal activity. Anything unlawful under South African law or the law where you are.

2. How we enforce this

Enforcement is layered, because no single method catches everything:

  • Before it posts. Posts and comments are automatically screened for slurs and explicit language in all the languages we support. A match is hidden immediately and sent to a moderator rather than published.
  • When it is reported. Reported content is hidden automatically once enough members have reported it, without waiting for a human.
  • By a person. Every report reaches a moderation queue that a coach and our own team can act on, with the option to dismiss, hide, remove, or remove the member from the community. We track how long reports wait and how quickly they are resolved.

If we get it wrong, dismissing a report restores the content. Automatic screening is deliberately cautious, so being hidden once is not an accusation.

3. Reporting and blocking

You do not have to wait for a moderator to stop someone reaching you.

  • Report any post, comment, message, check-in photograph, review or account from the menu on the item itself. Tell us what the problem is; it goes straight to the moderation queue.
  • Block anyone from that same menu. Blocking is immediate and mutual: they cannot message you, call you, or see your posts, and you will not see theirs. You can undo it at any time under Privacy in your profile.

Blocking someone does not tell them they have been blocked, and reporting is not visible to the person you report.

4. Age and content labels

Colossus is rated 16+ and you must be 16 or older to hold an account. Coaches label the programs, content and bundles they publish so you can see before you open something whether it carries mature themes. Content beyond a 16+ rating is not permitted on the platform at all.

5. Coaches have extra responsibility

If you coach here, you moderate your own communities and you answer for what you publish. That means acting on your moderation queue, labelling your content honestly, and not using your position to pressure the people you coach. We can remove a coach's community, their content, or their account.

6. Contact us

To reach a person about a report, an enforcement decision, or anything urgent, email support@colossus.fit. For anything involving immediate risk to someone's safety, contact your local emergency services first, then tell us.

These guidelines sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
