A hybrid athlete coaching platform: strength and cardio on one plan
Zone-based cardio prescriptions living inside the same plan as RPE-programmed lifting, with recovery as programmed work and one adherence picture across all of it.
Hybrid coaching breaks most software in a specific way: the platform treats lifting as the program and everything else as a note. The athlete's week is a squat session, a Zone 2 run, an interval day, and a recovery session, but the software only understands the squats, so the coach ends up reconciling three apps to answer one question: did the week happen as designed?
On Colossus, all four of those sessions are prescriptions on the same plan, logged against the same client record.
Cardio as a prescription, not a suggestion
Cardio prescribes by duration, distance, calories, or intervals, each with a Zone 1 to Zone 5 intensity target. A session can live inside a lifting day (a post-session Zone 2 finisher) or stand alone as its own day, and cardio-only days progress the plan the same way lifting days do.
Strength depth, undiluted
The lifting side is the full strength engine: per-set RPE, RIR, tempo, and intensity percentage, linear, DUP, block, and 5-3-1 periodization templates, e1RM tracking, and plans on any cycle length from 5 to 9 days, which matters when the week has to fit runs around lifts.
Recovery is part of the program
Prescribe recovery sessions from 19 modalities, attach them to a workout day, and set a target duration. Athletes log duration, a feeling score, mood, and a soreness delta that feeds a soreness heatmap, and sessions sync from Apple Health or Health Connect or get logged by hand. For a hybrid athlete carrying two kinds of fatigue, this is the difference between managing load and guessing at it.
One adherence picture
Analytics track adherence, workout volume, nutrition compliance, habit streaks, and body composition in one place, and the Sunday weekly close distils each week into a single story. You coach from the combined picture instead of assembling it from screenshots.
Frequently asked questions
Can I program interval work with zone targets?
Yes. Cardio prescriptions target duration, distance, calories, or intervals, each with a Zone 1 to Zone 5 intensity target, standalone or inside a lifting day.
Do cardio and recovery sessions sync from a watch?
Sessions sync from Apple Health and Health Connect, so work tracked on a watch lands against the prescription without manual entry, and anything else can be logged by hand.
Does a cardio-only day progress the plan?
Yes. Cardio-only days advance the plan when logged, the same way lifting days do, so the program never stalls waiting for a barbell session.
